Recreating OBDF 110 - Papercraft Objects: Digital Samples

Papercraft Objects: Digital Samples

The first and most detailed object is a little ceramic house that I got from a trip to Holland. It was a bit of challenge unraveling all the parts, and I probably could have simplified the number of windows!

The second object is a little replica of a canopic jar, another souvenir from a family vacation. It was a challenge to design/flatten the face so I could unravel it but it worked out in the end by breaking it down into mesh planes.

The next two objects are not as interesting or challenging but they are based off small glass jars/bowls I have in my kitchen.

Next I chose to replicate one pair of the many scissors I have lying around the house, mostly because of the irony of having scissors made of paper.

This one is a little ceramic lama I have in my front entrance, its just a little candle holder but I have always liked the simplicity of the shape of it.

The lighthouse is inspired by a drink stirrer stick topper. I have around five of them that I brought back from Nova Scotia. I have never used them but can't imagine throwing them out. I choose to radiate the sides from the bottom so the attachment point would be a large surface.

This next object is a picture frame with a rabbet in the back, it is unfolded from the mitered face and the second object is the backer for the frame.

Next object is my favorite teapot, I had to redesign the spout to be more square because I was struggling to unravel a round object and have it turn down at the end.

And lastly a Halloween decoration that I made out of papier mache ages ago.

Hope you enjoyed my objects, I had fun making them even if I probably put too much time in!!
