Recreating OBDF 110 - Objectified Response - Stacking Lilly Shelves

Objectified Response

So I very foolishly, and accidentally, deleted my blog posts for OBDF 110 by changing my G Suite account. From now on I will be downloading my blog posts so I have a record! Anyway, I am re-posting some photos here from the projects from last year and some snippets of what I remember from the challenges of the projects.
The Objectified Response Project:
I believe the shelf design inspiration was from the film we watched Objectified  by Gary Hustwit's feature-length documentary. One of the interviewees was Karim Rashid, and in the background there were these glass, stand alone shelves that caught my eye, called Lotus ShelvesMy idea with the objectified response was to adapt the concept of the Lotus Shelves to be more practical and adaptable. So I changed the design so they would fit in a corner and made them modular so you could choose how high/many you would need, and called them Stacking Lilly Shelves.

The shelves that were the inspiration

Some of the challenges of this project were working in tinkercad which I found difficult to use especially when it came to curves and projecting cutouts onto a curved surface.
